Closer To Heaven & The Pool Club @ Mahogany Bay

Just a place to sleep and eat. We had to do all other activities outside the village Positive: Secured and quiet. Clean house with comfortable bed. Nothing else Negative: We did not have access to the pool club. The advertising was misleading. No pool. No access to their island that was advertised. No access to fitness center. I had to pay for trip from airport to the house. That was not included either 🤨

Wonderful stay Positive: The rental was lovely. We were a family of five and felt very comfortable. The pictures do not do this place justice. The decor was very nice with a tropical feel. The beds were nice and cozy. My son enjoyed the outdoor shower. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, and appliances. This rental had phenomenal AC which was such a relief considering the humidity. The hardwood was stunning. Everything was very nice and clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Negative: There are a lot of mosquitos and a body of water in the back of the home, so please take your mosquito repellant if you decide to stay. There is quite a bit of construction on the site so it can get noisy. My family are early risers so we weren't bothered much but it is something to consider for others. My husband enjoyed watching the workmanship of the workers. The workers were gone at a decent hour. Occasionally there were boat tours traveling through the water in the back of the home which is also something to consider as it may be inconvenience to some.

The house was charming, spacious and well furnished. Our family of 4 had a good stay. The host was very gracious and responsive. They had helped arrange transportation and everything was seamless. The only downside was it’s in the middle of a construction zone, the noise from the crew and their work was quite disturbing. Also, the general area didn’t look tidy.
