The Weekender & The PoolClub @ Mahogany Bay!

The Weekender is an excellent villa, very well equipped and comfortable. There was a lot of noise from current construction activity and the highway at the rear of the property, so sitting outside is not always quiet. The canal is full of fish and we saw iguanas and alligators swimming past. Mahogany Bay is a prime development with good facilities, but a little far from town. M&B were very responsive to our questions and we had a nice birthday celebration at the Pool Club. We very much enjoyed our stay at Mahogany Bay.

If you're looking for 5 star service and accommodations, then look no further. This outfit knocks out every box. Melki is the man to see.

Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. The entire resort is being built out so you'll have the occasional crew to dodge slightly, but don't let it discourage you from staying here. The Pool Club is amazing, the restaurant is fantastic, and the people working there couldn't have been better. Jyoto is game changer good sushi, a must when you stay here. Rum Bean has great coffee. I've stayed at several different places in San Pedro, this will be the place I come back to from here on out.

I had a really fantastic stay at the weekender. The management team was always very responsive and friendly and eager to help with any issues. Overall I have to say I really loved the accommodations, how clean it was and the the folder with instructions and options for tours, excursions and restaurant recommendations. Here are a few very minor complaints that didn’t ruin the trip but could be helpful for you if you are striving for perfection. First, the water pressure in the showers was pretty awful. Some of the lowest pressure i’ve felt in any of my travels. Second, the request to deposit toilet paper in the trash bin was a bit odd, while i understand, for longer stays, I can see how the bin would fill up and since there isn’t daily housekeeping like a hotel, it is a bit gross to have it sitting there. This was a beautiful, clean and perfectly located home. It was well equipped for a family and the children loved the flex room.
