Caribbean Rental & The Pool Club @ Mahogany Bay

I tried to contact Elliot but unfortunately I did not get through to give this FB , I wont be adding this to trip advisor / social media etc. Property is much in need for some cosmetic TLC , painting / fixing etc. At the rear of the property ( outside MBV ) dogs were barking 3-4 hours in the early hours which kept us awake, understand nothing can be done but I wanted to give this feedback. Quality of some towels , kitchen cutlery ,plastic plates , plastic bowels etc was not great. Lighting outside the front door is non existent, not easy to view the key hole when unlocking the door. Not great from a security and more importantly safety point of view. Double door front and back difficult to open / close . Bedding is dated. Apologies this is negative but I do believe in giving this kind of feedback for improvements. Regards Graeme

Mahogany Bay resort always leaves me speechless with their incredible hosts and accommodations! I will always stay at Mahogany bay while in Belize! Great location, great food, and amazing people make this an easy 5 star rating for myself and friends.

We loved our time at the Caribbean Rental! Its location is a few steps from the Pool Club and Farm House Market / Cafe is ideal! The house was very quiet, clean and comfortable with everything we needed on hand. The host, M&B Luxury Rental, helped us book our golf cart and a few tours that were unforgettable. Not a single negative to list for this trip!

4 nights on San Pedro island Positive: - spacious living room and bathrooms - small pool and nice terrace - cool premises - airconditioning in all necessary rooms - lots of daylight in the house - safe in the house - big fridge - drinking water - lots of towels available - very, very nice poolclub with fantastic food (pricy) - in general very quiet neighbourhood (except for Friday night some people shouting around midnight) Negative: - locks of the outer doors were not working properly - AC was leaking upon arrival - some windows in the bedrooms had no curtains, so very early mornings - discussion with the golf cart rental through Gaby while we agreed the price with her - unclear procedure and communication of returning the golf cart - quite expensive pickup from the ferry port. Also the driver tried to have us overpaying him as he “didn’t have cash change”, which is an absolute lie - 15’ drive to the center of the island and 50’ to Secret beach

Everything about the property was excellent. I just I wish there was some sort of hedge or fence for security. Also the flies were pretty bad. So be prepared with all the sprays and candles and such. But the house is nice and the restaurant nearby had good food as well.
